Our Facility
I’m a trainer that likes to be very involved in the full care of the horses from feed, turnout, body work to shoeing and daily riding. Our family farm in Highland County Virginia offers a beautiful, peaceful facility with 15 stalls, a covered round pen, outdoor round pen, and a 100X200 covered arena. Plus, there are endless amounts of trails! It is a perfect place to start young horses and bring along the dressage horses with its endless training abilities. The best part is I can walk to the barn!
“Cody implements a multi layered approach to dressage with careful focus on the wellbeing of both horse and rider, not just moving up the levels. Dressage training can be frustrating and slow at times. Cody is always positive and teaches well-organized lessons that encourage me to improve while staying joyful in the process. She fosters a barn atmosphere where everyone supports each other – feeling valued and included, regardless of skill level.
I returned to riding as an adult after 15 years out of the saddle at training level with a 4.5 year old Hanoverian mare who had a tricky neck injury. Cody worked tirelessly to help me rehab my horse. Two years later Cody rode my mare to Championships at regionals for both Musical Freestyle- Second Level and Second Level test.
Winning is fun but the joy Cody helped me find in the connection with my horse and with the other members of the CanDo team is the true prize.”
